Denise A. Elliott

1961 - 2009

Denise A. “Dee” (Haring) Elliott, age 47, of Pottstown, died peacefully at her home on Sunday morning, surrounded by her loving family, following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was the cherished wife and best friend of Kurt R. Elliott and only daughter of Barry and Shirley (Nester) Haring of Pottstown.

A 1979 graduate of Pottstown Senior High School, Dee was employed the past eleven years as a paraprofessional at the Pottstown middle School where she will be dearly missed by the students and staff.  Dee was a talented artist and created an amazing variety of original works of art for families and friends.  She loved animals, especially dogs, but her greatest joy in life was traveling by RV with her husband and children. 

Surviving with her husband and parents, is a son, Nathan K. husband of Noelle (Endy) Elliott, of Gainesville Fla., and a daughter, Ashley L. Elliott, fiancé of Michael Shaw, of West Chester.  Also surviving are her mother and father in-law, Ronald & Shirley (Loughlin) Elliott, of E. Coventry Twp., and two brothers, Barry C. husband of Lisa B. Haring, of Marshfield Mass., and Jeffrey S. husband of Lisa Haring, of Acworth Ga..  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Thursday at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 711 N. Franklin St. Pottstown, with Pastor David R. Willauer, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Pottstown. Friends may call on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 PM, and also on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:15 AM at the funeral home.
